Cap & Patch Heat Press — CP2815-3 Pro

A flat press cannot do caps. A curved crown needs a curved platen and heat from both sides, which is the whole reason this machine exists. If hats are part of what your program sells, this is not an upgrade to the shirt press — it is a different tool.

Both platens heat, and you set each temperature

Most cap presses heat from the top only. Some advertise a heated lower platen that turns out to be heat assist — it borrows warmth from the top, so you run a throwaway press first to build it up. That is an extra cycle on every single hat.

On this press the top and bottom platens are independently temperature controlled. Set each one, start working. On a structured cap with a stiff front panel, real heat from below is what releases the transfer cleanly on the first press — not the second.

It opens automatically at the end of the cycle, so a cap cannot cook because someone turned away.

Laser alignment, included

A projected guide shows exactly where the transfer will land, which matters more on a cap than anywhere else — you cannot eyeball center on a curved crown, and a crooked logo on a hat is obvious from across a room.

On premium equipment this is a several-hundred-dollar add-on. It is standard here, and on our dual platen press as well.

The pads are the part that matters

A cap press is only as good as the pad under the hat, and hats are not one shape. This ships with two:

  • 6-panel with a middle seam — Richardson 112, baseball caps, hip-hop styles
  • 2- or 6-panel with a sharp corner — INIVI, driver caps and similar

Between them they cover most of what a school store or a booster club actually orders.

Both pads are included in the price, along with two soft silicone pads and an attachment for the second hat pad. Nothing here is an add-on — you are not going to unbox this and find your Richardson 112s need a pad you did not know to order.

Specifications

  • Platen: 3.7″ × 7″ molded, one size fits all cap sizes. Upper and lower heated, independently controlled
  • Max temperature: 450°F
  • Controller: touch-screen LCD, multi-timer to 999 seconds, auto standby
  • Power: 110V, 600W — about 5 amps, so a normal wall outlet runs it
  • Machine: 17.7″ × 10.6″ × 17.7″, 44 lb — it sits on a desk
  • Shipping: 57 lb, ships parcel — no freight, no liftgate

One platen covers every cap size. The molded shape transitions between sizes without swapping anything, and a fixed hook plus silicone pad holds the cap square so the print does not go on crooked.

Twelve month warranty

Twelve months, and we handle it. A lot of this equipment is sold with six. If something fails you call Lawrenceville and speak to people who press garments themselves, rather than opening a ticket with a distributor who has never run the machine.

It arrives branded

Every press we ship carries the MoreTranz logo. Not vanity — it puts the name and number of whoever supports the machine on the machine. The booster volunteer three years from now, who was not there when it was bought, can see who to call.

Patches too

The same press applies embroidered and woven patches to bags, jackets and uniform sleeves, which is worth knowing before you buy a second machine for it.

Schools, districts and booster clubs

We quote for requisitions. Email us what you need and we will send a quote you can attach to a purchase order, with a firm total — freight included, not "call for a shipping quote". A bookkeeper cannot submit a requisition against a number that might move.

Net 30 once your district has us set up. Georgia public schools and colleges are automatically exempt from sales tax and need no form from us; booster clubs and other 501(c)(3) groups are exempt once we have your ST-5 on file.

Our invoices read Morché Designs dba MoreTranz — the name already in several Georgia vendor systems, which is usually the slowest part of buying anything.
