16″ × 20″ Dual Platen Heat Press — MATE450-2E

A dual platen press is not a two-person machine. It is what lets one person get through a run without standing and watching a timer. You load one side while the other side presses, the platens shuttle, and you keep working. For a booster club with one volunteer and one evening, that is close to double the output for the same effort.

What makes it worth the money

• Laser alignment, included. The placement guide projects onto the garment, so a design goes on straight the first time — and on premium equipment this is a several-hundred- dollar add-on. Crooked prints are the most expensive mistake a volunteer makes.
• No foot pedal. Hands-free operation with nothing on the floor to trip over or store — which matters in a shared classroom.
• AT100 preset programs. Save time, temperature and pressure per job, so the next person to use it does not have to remember your settings.
• Thread-able, interchangeable base. Slide a shirt on rather than working over a hot platen, and change lower platens in seconds without tools.

It plugs into a standard wall outlet

120V, 60Hz. No 220V wiring, no electrician, no facilities work order before you can switch it on — which is not true of most dual station presses this size.

It does need its own 20A circuit. A 15A circuit will trip it. Most general-purpose outlets in classrooms and garages are 15A, so check before delivery day. The plug is a standard three-prong; nothing needs rewiring.

Delivery

This ships on a pallet by freight carrier, with a liftgate so it can come off the truck without a loading dock. Delivery is curbside — the pallet reaches the ground and two people move it from there. Plan a bench that will hold 295 lb, or add the equipment cart, which is built for it.

Alaska, Hawaii and US territories: the flat delivery fee covers the lower 48. We ship beyond it, but freight has to be priced individually — email info@moretranz.com with your address and we will quote it.

Twelve month warranty

Twelve months, and we handle it. A lot of this equipment is sold with six. If something fails you call Lawrenceville and speak to people who press garments themselves, rather than opening a ticket with a distributor who has never run the machine.

It arrives branded

Every press we ship carries the MoreTranz logo. Not vanity — it puts the name and number of whoever supports the machine on the machine. The booster volunteer three years from now, who was not there when it was bought, can see who to call.

Buy the accessories once

Every lower platen we stock fits both this press and the 16″ × 20″ clamshell. Start on the smaller machine and add this one later and you strand nothing.

Schools, districts and booster clubs

We quote for requisitions. Email us what you need and we will send a quote you can attach to a purchase order, with a firm total — freight included, not "call for a shipping quote". A bookkeeper cannot submit a requisition against a number that might move.

Net 30 once your district has us set up. Georgia public schools and colleges are automatically exempt from sales tax and need no form from us; booster clubs and other 501(c)(3) groups are exempt once we have your ST-5 on file.

Our invoices read Morché Designs dba MoreTranz — the name already in several Georgia vendor systems, which is usually the slowest part of buying anything.
